Udomboso John Saviours (born February 16, 1995), professionally known as Young John or Young Jonn, is a 28-year-old celebrated Nigerian producer, audio engineer, and songwriter. Known as the “Wicked Producer,” he rose to prominence with the production of Olamide’s hit single Story For The Gods from the Street OT album.
Young John has been instrumental in shaping the sound of contemporary Nigerian music and was ranked #3 on NET’s list of Nigeria’s Top 7 Biggest Music Producers. His production credits span iconic albums such as Street OT and 2 Kings. He has been nominated for multiple awards and is currently signed to Hit Factory Studio, an affiliate of YBNL Nation.
Early Life & Education
Young John was born on February 16, 1995, into a Christian family of Akwa Ibom descent in Ibadan, Oyo State. He had his primary education at Ideal Foundation Primary School, Ibadan, before moving to GOF College in Osogbo, Osun State, for his secondary education.
During his school years, Young John showed interest in sports like basketball and soccer, but his passion for music soon took precedence. He began experimenting with musical instruments, miming, and dancing, laying the foundation for his career as a producer.
Currently, Young John is pursuing a degree in Communication and Language Arts at the University of Ibadan.
